Aldrin Nieves, DNP, AGNP-C, PMHNP-BC
Aldrin Nieves is nurse practitioner dually board certified in psychiatric-mental health and adult gerontology primary care. He works with adults (18 years old +) and older adults (65 years old +) and provides care for patients who struggle with a wide range of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, insomnia, psychosis, and other mood disorders.
Aldrin’s treatment approach is rooted in integrating evidence-based approach to medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive psychotherapy for treating mental illness. Aldrin studied at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA, where he obtained both his Psychiatric-Mental Health and Adult-Gerontology Primary Care nurse practitioner degrees. He also obtained his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. Prior to obtaining his advanced practice degrees, Aldrin worked as a registered nurse for over 11 years and has extensive experience working with medically complex and vulnerable patient populations.
Aldrin’s main goals for his patients include empowering them with knowledge to understand their mental illness and to allow them to participate in selecting their treatment choices. Aldrin has a unique view and experience with psychiatric care and believes that psychoeducation and supportive psychotherapy can have an incredible impact on a patient’s sense of well-being, happiness, recovery, and health. He is inspired by the resilience and strength of his patients and wants to empower them to achieve their full potential.
